Daniel Pfeifer

Serial entrepreneur, successfully built up several companies in the areas of engineering, IT and financial services. Daniel bought and regenerated two pieces of rainforest in Colombia in 2014 as a pilot project.

Marie-Sophie Teyssier

20+ years of experience in marketing and communications, holding leading roles within global companies. Invests into sustainable food businesses, sustainable finance, and energy transition solutions as a Co-Owner of her family office. Previously worked with Daniel on a precursor organization to NatureRe.

Olivier Kobel

20+ years of international experience in Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance. Since 2009, the focus of his activities has been on assisting companies in the field of sustainable business (including raising funds for sustainable projects)

Marco Meli

Marco has 20 years of experience in the financial industry, having successfully structured and managed multiple fund platforms in different jurisdictions. Before joining NatureRe he held the position of COO of the Signet group of companies based in Zurich. Currently a CFA and CAIA Charter Holder.

Sven Kapell

Sven has 25+ years experience in investment banking and spent the last 2 years in the healthcare and Impact Investing sector. Due to his experience in various Corporate Finance and Capital Markets positions at leading investment banks, he brings an excellent network and possesses broad expertise in origination and execution of complex transactions, relationship management, business development and capital market communication.

Susanne Wittig

Susanne is a business professional with +15 years of experience in social innovation, impact investing, and sustainability across private, public, and philanthropic sectors. As Co-Founder and Board Member of Brainforest, a venture studio focused on forest and climate solutions, she leverages her knowledge of forest ecosystems and an extensive network to support NatureRe. She serves on various boards and is herself an active investor in carbon credits.

Stefan Wörner

20+ years experience from strategy consulting (Bain & Company) and wholesale banking (Credit Suisse). He now advises financial and strategic investors in transactions and value creation in the energy and water sectors (FMC). He also acts as member of the Board of Trustees of The Nature Conservancy Switzerland and finance director of the Biodiversity Bridge e.V.. At NatureRe, Stefan assists potential investors in their DDs and ensures an optimal fit of NatureRe’s business model to the needs of financial markets. 

Daire Kelly

Over the past two years, Daire has combined his academic insights and professional know-how with his passion for ecological restoration. Daire explored the ecological and financial benefits of ANR versus traditional reforestation methods in his thesis: “The Economics of Assisted Natural Regeneration: A Comparative Analysis of Reforestation Methods in the Lowland Neotropics.” His background in data analytics and portfolio management, combined with his expertise in the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM), has made him a vital contributor to Carbon Asset Development and local operations in Colombia.

Maria Guadalupe Florez Vanegas

Lupe is a lawyer with a background in international mobility, migration law, and fintech compliance. Originally from Colombia, she relocated to Spain 6 years ago to pursue a master’s degree in law and become a lawyer in Spain. Lupe is based in Hamburg, but is deeply motivated by the opportunity to work with a company that prioritises the preservation of Colombia’s rich biodiversity and supports sustainable projects in her home country. Guadalupe brings nearly three years of experience in compliance from the fintech sector and is enthusiastic about contributing to NatureRe’s mission and playing a role in initiatives that bridge global expertise with local environmental and community needs. 

Eliana Molina

Eliana holds a Master’s degree in Forest and Environmental Conservation from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue. She has almost 10 years of experience in leading carbon projects, directing project portfolios, and advising for environmental assessment. She is leading NatureRe’s nature-based carbon removal projects from PDD (project development document) set-up to MRV (measurement, reporting, verification), as Head of Nature Restoration.

Juan Diego Zambrano Giraldo

With 15 years of experience in environmental impact mitigation projects and consulting in both the public and private sectors, Juan is an environmental engineer, specialised in disaster prevention, attention and reduction. During the last 5 years he has supported conservation projects and carbon markets, developing business search strategies and working with indigenous and local communities in the socialisation of projects and signing of framework agreements. He participated in the preparation of the Due Diligence of projects in the Peruvian Amazon, in joint work with more than 300 indigenous communities in various regions of Peru.

Lorraine Gualteros

Lorraine is a business administrator with a specialisation in executive management. With over a decade of experience in administrative roles, customer service, and public relations, Lorraine is known for a profound sense of responsibility and a steadfast commitment to quality and compliance standards. Her extensive background is complemented by more than six years of experience in the sustainability sector, a field she is deeply passionate about. Lorraine’s dedication to management has been a crucial asset throughout her career. She is excited about the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that promote sustainable practices and uphold high standards of excellence. Lorraine’s professional journey reflects her enthusiasm for combining effective management with a strong commitment to sustainability.

Olivia Gumbel

Olivia has a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Management at ESCP Business School. Combining skills from the field of political science and of international management has led her to question how to reconcile economic growth and sustainability at a business level. Her language skills have driven her to work in marketing and communications, specifically to convey impact-minded messages in the face of the current climate and biodiversity crisis.

Michael Wells

Michael graduated from the École des Ponts (ParisTech) with a MSc in Sustainable Finance. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) who is passionate about directing capital to solve climate an social issues. 

Dayan Pelaez Tiraldo

Dayan is an environmental engineer with experience in conservation projects and environmental reforestation. Living in Medellin, he is an expert in the protection of fauna, flora and all natural resources such as air, water and soil, in Colombia. He has more than 4 years of experience in environmental projects focused on preservation, environmental conservation, management of local communities. At NatureRe, he supervises the foremen of Managua and Bengala, tax payments, local community representation, and external visits to the land.

Nicole Keiler

After her Bachelor’s in Culture and Economy at the University of Mannheim, Nicole pursued a Master’s in Gender and Equality Policies at the University of Valencia. Passionate about advocacy for gender equality and promotion of inclusivity in society and the workplace, Nicole is designing and carrying out NatureRe’s social strategy.

Jan Nikolaisen

Seasoned lawyer, strategist and ecopreneur. Fund manager and investment director for 4+ years at Good Energies, a well renowned renewable energy fund. Founder and CEO of ROMO Wind, a technology leader in wind measurement for 10 years and currently serves as an Entrepreneur at Novastone Capital Advisors.

Stefanie Hauer

Stefanie re-energized and transformed media companies such as the prestigious newspaper DIE ZEIT and the world’s best-selling magazine publisher Bauer as Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Executive Officer. She is also an amazing networker and hosts her own podcast show Planetary Business. As a biodiversity enthusiast investing in ecosystem restoration, she will bring tremendous value to NatureRe.
