Colombia is listed as one of the world’s “megadiverse” countries, hosting close to 10% da biodiversidade do planeta. Em todo o mundo, ocupa o primeiro lugar em diversidade de espécies de aves e orquídeas e o segundo lugar em plantas, borboletas, peixes de água doce e anfíbios.
Colombia has lost 5.8M hecatres of tree cover in the past 25 years, and is therefore uniquely positioned to deliver impactful nature-based carbon removal and biodiversity restoration projects.
