Investment & Operations Analyst
About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to grow professionally while contributing to investment analysis, project management, and market research. You’ll collaborate closely with our investment and operations team, gaining hands-on experience in natural capital investment.
Location: Valencia, Spain
Duration: 6+ months internship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Analysis: Support cash flow, IRR projections, and scenario analysis for land purchase decisions.
- Investment Management: Assist in designing and delivering quarterly/annual reports covering financial, climate, and community outcomes.
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) and competitor analysis.
- Sales Support: Manage CRM tools and support the Sales team ahead of major events.
- Strategic Assistance: Provide operational and strategic support to our leadership team.

Required Skills:
- Advanced use of Microsoft Applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
- Previous academic or work exposure to modeling in Excel.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work autonomously and diligently in remote settings.
- Familiarity with Google Suite, amongst other remote working tools.
- Theoretical understanding of financial concepts such as IRR, NPV, and discount rates.
Desired Skills (Not Mandatory):
- Working knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is a strong plus. German and/or French is a nice-to-have.
- Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
- Experience with financial analysis and/or CRM platforms.
- Familiarity with GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) or coding (e.g., Python, VBA, R).
- Understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) & project finance reporting.
- Knowledge of the voluntary carbon market is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of natural climate solutions is highly desirable.
